The big question you need to ask yourself when creating content is "who is my audience"? The audience being the people at the end who will be using your Trajectory IQ project.
Many content producers fall into the rut of creating content for themselves and their internal stakeholders. However, your audience may be very different and that has to be taken into consideration when creating the content.
There are different aspects to your end user that need to be taken into account. The first being their level of understanding around technology. After all, TIQ is a gamified online Learning Module. If your audience is not that tech savvy, there may need to be more hand holding and instructional content layered throughout your TIQ module – and that’s okay!
As it relates to technology, audiences often fall into one of the following categories:
- “I’m not a fan of technology. I prefer print and traditional media.”
- “I would like to use technology but I’m afraid to use it.”
- “I email and browse the web daily and occasionally use my mobile device to access information.”
- “I use all the technologies at my disposal on a regular basis (i.e. connect with the office, colleagues, friends, family, research, etc.) and have little or no use for traditional media.”
Although the full spectrum of audience characteristics may be present within any or all of the projects proposed, the project components are designed and targeted for all audiences.
