What is Hidden Object?
This game is about finding specific spots on an image. It is a great training tool for visual awareness, or instructional materials.
How does Hidden Object work?
The user is presented with an image and a statement about what they need to find in the image. The user then clicks on areas they think apply to the statement. Once the user clicks on the correct spot, a pop-up with important information will appear. Correct clicks grant the user points, but incorrect clicks can loose them points.
How do I add content to Hidden Object?
For this game object, it will require collaboration between our clients and our team to create the needed content for this game. First, write out the question in the "Question" field as it pertains to what the user will be searching for in the image. Next the image needs to be uploaded in the first field called "Image". Then, a second image is uploaded into the field called "Image Hit Zones" that has the clearly marked hit zones numbered. Fill in the "Hit Zone" numbered fields as they correspond to the image. The final stage is when out team puts together the information from the Gather Content fields and creates the finished SVG document, which we will add into the final field called "SVG Document".
Always remember to keep track of your character count. As you add more content in, you will see a small window on the bottom right of the text box keeping tract of how many characters you have used. Once you go over your allowed characters, the number will turn red. It is important to keep your text within the character count limit as it will affect how the text is displayed in the game object. Too much text, and it will get cut off in the final Trajectory.
What content works best?
This game is versatile in the type of content it can be used for. At its heart, it is a basic "check all that apply" style game based on an image. Questions for this game type are typically worded; "Find all the safety hazards in this image" or "Select only the correct items needed for your work" as some examples.
